Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Wolves win academy derby
Tuesday 6th November 2007, 10:45AM GMT.

Wolves’ youngsters twice came back from a goal down to win the Academy Black Country derby 3-2 against Albion.
Marcel Tulloch masterminded the Molineux outfit’s battling comeback, scoring twice, including netting the winner five minutes from time.
Wolves’ Ashley Hemmings missed a golden chance to open the scoring after being played in by Kyle Bennett before Albion took the lead in the 20th minute when Josh Knight scored with an angled drive.
That gave Albion a half-time lead, but Wolves were level eight minutes after the break when Tulloch fired home from 10 yards following good work between David Davies and Hemmings.
Albion were back in front five minutes later when Stefan Morrison struck for the sixth time in the last seven games.
But Wolves were level for a second time just after the hour when Bennett collected possession on halfway before embarking on a mazy run through the Albion defence to slot home off the inside of the post.
It was then left to Tulloch to grab the winner in the closing minutes, beating his marker on the edge of the box to score with a low shot.

Just wondering if some of these kids are ready for first team football when you look at someone like Theo Walcott?

I suppose the dingles will be latching onto this in the hope that it will mean something.
Some people are SO starved of any success that even a kids game in the park takes on a whole new meaning
I’m sure that this result will mean a team of world beaters for the wolves in a few years… yeah whatever.
So well done boys – I hope you all had an ice cream to celebrate.

H-B, grow up.
It shows how you have to swallow your pride because we have not make a meal out of anything from this match. It just shows how good our academy build up are.
Stop making yourself a moron oops!
You are :)

H-B, just remind us all of the endless conveyor belt of talent that has been produced by your academy?

see what I mean ??
Well done to the kids and I hope they (all) make it – but i was waiting for the old “conveyor belt” nonsense.

Happy really fail to understand you,the line.(even a kids game in the park)takes on a whole new meaning why shouldn’t we be proud of young kids from both sides enjoying football and who knows could be up and coming great players.

Folks, I took my seven year old boy to watch the England Under 16′s v Wales at the Bucks Head Friday. Guess what? Two Baggies Academy players in the England Team.
How many Dingles? None!
is it oni me not concerneed about the result as albions kids are under no real pressure to beat the dingles really as lets face it (swallows pride) they have a better academy then us
Report abuse
9 – yeah much better than ours – as post 8 obviously highlights…
Why do the dingles always feel the need to post on here as albion fans ?

10.
Suppose maybe some feel you could do with a few more fans.
As for the story, not really bothered about score. Good on both sets of lads. Also teaches them both about derbies and putting some meaning into. Yes the conveyer belt stuff from some of our fans is nonsense, as is how many were in the under-16′s from one of your fans. Happy you get on the defensive before there is even anything to defend. No matter who won you’d have nonsense from either of our sides.

You may say its nonesense but i still don’t see any numbers or names mentioned………..
