Former Albion star Steve Watson returned to haunt his old club with a last gasp equaliser.
Kevin Phillips converted Paul Robinson’s left wing cross after 77 minutes to seemingly put Albion on the road to another win – until Watson struck deep into injury time.
But the point does move Tony Mowbray’s men into second place in the table.
Albion recovered from the loss of Martin Albrechtsen to injury in the first half to boss the game – but were left shocked after Watson fired home at the death.

if ever there was a case for a referee being banned this was it, own goal disallowed for offside ? kicked lumps out of us no fouls, nearly 7 mins of added instead of 3, foul in the build up to the equaliser, no foul given ABSOLUTE DISGRACE TO THE GAME

hang on here lads, what right do u dingles have to come n comment on a draw.. when u did no better. this ref was clearly biased.. should be banned from all matches(not inc wolves match) mayb they will no how we feel. Cant let this crap reffing continue in the modern game as i fear the two dropped points are going to come back to haunt us come the end of the season.

if there was ever a 12th man durham miller would have to be it. he is the worst referee i have ever seen, absolute shambles… disallow a goal and allow double the stoppage time is unbelievable.
Albion should have seen the game out and finish chances but we were cost 2 vital points by the referee the tunus

ok where on earth did the FA get this ref from, he should be carted off back and never get the chance to referee again as for the linesmen they were in his pocket aiding and abetting, funny how all their fouls were never fouls but ours was, goal dissallowed,think the officials should be, SW went into every tackle with arms and legs flailing if they couldn’t get the ball they got the player explains it all when we had 4 injured no protection from the referee just hope Mowbray doesn’t get into trouble for what, telling the truth think the referee was using a mickey mouse watch

lets try and gather the positives from this result.
we will not have as bad a refereeing performance all year and we did not lose.the point takes us 2nd and we move on to the next game.
love his style or question his style of play,but mowbray picks a team to WIN every game.
how refreshing compared to some who admit they,ll take 0-0 before the game.

Referee was a joke. How can an own goal be disallowed for off side. How can you play twice the three minutes allowed for time added on. What about the challenges on Texiera and Gera uniticed and unpunished.
Even Brian Laws said his team enjoyed a stroke of luck.
Great to see a manager who rarely shows any sign of emotion giving the ref a real go at the end.
If players and managers can be held up as bringing the game into disrepute what about shocking referees.
And to the Wolves fans coming on here all jovial let me remind them of their appuauling goal record this season – is it 17 goals now in 15 games – Freddie’s doing a great job.

Was the reporter at the game? because the lines on this report so far look like he made up his story from the scoreline on the news! Wednesday played very well but there was only one team ever going to score! The referee should be investigated by the FA for mis conduct. To add on so much time when the Albion were down to 10 men, including Robinson who had been knocked out,seemed deliberate. He even tried to gift them a winner!
We will get over the points loss but I just hope the injury to Kevin Phillips is not serious.He is irreplaceable at this level despite the number of strikers on our books.Great pro! I wish him a speedy recovery!

I warned earlier about the ‘Owls’ being a REAL bogy team but even so, supporters of ANY team would be disgusted at Mr Magoo’s’ performance’
All that was lacking was a white stick and a Guide dog.
He must have left them in the dressing room.
What’s more worrying is the potential loss of Kevin Phillips.
His absence for any lengthy period would seriously hamper a genuone promotion challenge.

It seems odd that our friends from other teams are treating this like a deafeat for us. 4 points from the last two games when one of them was away to the league leaders – i think most of us would have taken that before Saturday.
For a team that apparently lost all its players over the summer and to hear our ‘friends’ talk are a sinking ship (yawn), second in the table and having scored by some distance the most goals in the division…

Obviously happy with this result. But just wanted to say I hope Phillips is okay and it is not to serious. Is brilliant in this division and could probably cut it in the Premiership still. It is always a shame to see any footballer injured, regardless of who they play for.

Why is everyone allowing themselves to get wound up by the moron dogheads who take more of an intrest in our great football team than there own. Oh what a disaster, we got a point and we are 2nd in the league! NOT!. Yes the referee was a disgrace, yes the own goal was a goal and shouldn’t have been disallowed, Yes it was a foul in the build up to the equalizing goal but i’m more intrested in the peformance level. If we continue to play with that spirit and ABILITY we showed we will win more than not. Keep the faith my blue and white friends we have a football team to be proud of and players who really wear the shirt with pride. Let the Dogheads have there petty moment because I have a feeling “He who laughs last, laughs the loudest!”, time after time after time, you would have thought they would have learn’t there lesson by now.

I can’t believe if you did the reporter would have mention the ref, disallowed goal, injury time, foul on our defender not to mention coming back from an offside position to foul him in the build up to the equaliser, even through gold and black goggles even your reporter couldn’t have missed any of that.

(56) not going to get into silly tit for tat arguments but the injury happened to robinson in the 4th minute of the 3 minutes of injury time. so how can this be?
On the whole west brom played well against a team of hard working hoofers all credit to sheffield they came to do a job and may have been assisted by some shocking refereeing but we moved up one place in the league so its not all bad. You have made the better start to the season yeah and possibly this may last all season, I don’t know. I’m not one of these fans who come on here saying we will do this or that, as like everybody else, I can’t say what’s going to happen. Are there any wolves fans who supported them in the early 80′s?..regular crowd’s of 5000 and less in competitions such as the Full Member’s cup…Two stands closed for being a safety hazard and the two remaining stands unfortunately facing the pitch!!!…Funny, everybody you talk to in Old Mold & cack stood right behind them and never missed a match in the dark days…Doesn’t quite add up does it?
