Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Gray back for Wolves
Friday 26th October 2007, 4:00PM BST.
Wolves veteran Michael Gray returns to the squad for the trip to Ipswich tomorrow – but Darron Gibson is ruled out.
Winger Stephen Ward is in line to replace the on-loan Manchester United midfielder as Wolves attempt to break Ipswich’s 100 per cent home record.
Skipper Gary Breen and Stephen Elliott are still out but Matt Jarvis may return to the squad after he was dropped on Wednesday.
Breen will have an injection on a sore knee next week and boss Mick McCarthy is hopeful of having his captain back soon.
Wolves are reminding the travelling supporters that tomorrow’s game at Portman Road is all-ticket.

A much better alternative to Neil Collins in the left-back slot.

Good news to be honest. I admire Collins for coming in and doing a job nobody really wants to do at left back, but Gray plays in the position and is pretty decent going forward.
If Wolves are going to even think about finishing in the top two, then we either need to buy another left back or get Gray playing consistently.

Great news!! Gray back at LB, Ward back to balance the midfield and Jarvis waiting on the bench if Ward isn’t doing enough! Seems to me as though Eastwood/Bothroyd may start together. If they do well and their partnership continues does anyone else think MM may slip Keogh in just behind them? We all know he loves Keogh and wouldn’t want to leave him out of the team. Could be an interesting scenario i’d like to see :)

Looked like we’d been sold a pup first game or two but was putting in some good high tempo performances before his injury. Were a better team with hom in it.

Before he got injured he was playing great, And I don’t care if he’s 33, he will do the job for us.
Up the Wolves!
