Shawbury 2 Dudley Sports 1
Monday 22nd October 2007, 9:54AM BST.
Dudley Sports came away from Shawbury pointless after a very lacklustre performance.
The Sports never got to grips with a very experienced side and were luck to go into the interval only one goal down this mainly due to poor finishing by the home side.
Half Time Shawbury 1 Dudley Sports 0
Second half saw Dudley Sports start better and equalized with there only real shot on target in the whole game.
A quick free kick by Andy Blakeley put Lee Lough thru on goal and he slotted home from an acute position with his left foot.
That was the best Sports could muster and with the team struggling to get out of there own half Shawbury took all the points when a deep cross was converted by ex Shrewsbury front man Tom Reynolds in the 85th minute after some poor defending in the lead up to the goal.
The Sports came back up the Motorway a well-beaten side but with this there first defeat in eleven games not the end of the world and they will be looking to bounce back next Saturday when they travel to neighbors Lye Town.
