Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Jaguars 49 Rhinos 70
Wednesday 17th October 2007, 11:34AM BST.
Rhinos 2nd team travelled to Newark in Nottinghamshire for the third game of their season.
They already had two wins under their belts and were looking to make it three out of three against a team relegated from the 1st division last year.
They got off to the perfect start going 10-0 up inside five minutes with the Jaguars unable to stop the Rhinos’ fast breaks.
Jaguars came back into the game to trail by five 14 – 9, but a 9 – 0 run saw Rhinos take the quarter 23 – 9 with Tom Docherty scoring twelve personal.
The 2nd quarter was a much more even affair with Coach Mat Foden starting to rotate his line-up.
Rhinos did take command early on though, stretching their lead to twenty four points, but Jaguars again closed the gap as The Rhinos’ defence began to struggle.
A 3 point shot from Player Coach Ian Brown took the teams into half time with the score 37 – 24 to the away side.
Jaguars carried their good form into the 3rd quarter and cut The Rhinos’ lead to just 9 points.
All five players on court for Jaguars were scoring which made it difficult for Rhinos to shut them down offensively.
Coach Foden took a time-out to organise his team and it seemed to have the desired effect.
They extended their lead to twelve points with forwards Darren Peasley and Tom Budd doing the scoring for Rhinos.
With the score at 48 – 36 going into the 4th quarter, Rhinos still hadn’t secured the win.
Foden resorted to his starting five and within 3 minutes the twelve point lead had become a twenty point lead.
The teams exchanged basket for basket to the end of the game with Rhinos youngster Kyle Marsh scoring twelve personal in the quarter helping his team to a 70 – 49 victory.
On view of the scoresheet, Jaguars no.8 had apparently scored 4 points which was a superb achievement as Jaguars didn’t have a no.8 playing.
Scorers: Rhinos: Marsh 21, Peasley 15, Docherty 14, Budd 14, Wager 6. Jaguars: Brown 12, Blanche 12, Hassell 10, C.Blackman 7, M.Blackman 4.
