Juniors turn on style in thriller
Tuesday 9th October 2007, 12:58PM BST.
Molineux Juniors and Chasers Juniors appeared to have fire in their feet when they met in Division 5 of the Wolverhampton City Net-ball League.
The two teams went up and down the court with tremendous speed and many a senior team would have been proud of the accuracy of passing shown by the youngsters.
With high leaping interceptions by both sets of players the play went from end to end and the final draw result was just.
Worthy of extra-special mention are the two centres Ê Sharna K-Bishton and Lucy Le-Page who both excelledin this great match.
Division 2 saw PHX retain their winning streak with Cheryl Maybury playing an integral part in their resulting victory over Ladybirds who showed equal skills but just couldn’t contain their opposition.
Deans Park, the underdogs of Division 5, finally made a final score into double figures for the first time this season.
The team’s perseverance, lead by Debbie Johnson in defence, edged their score slowly up to their record 14 at the final whistle.
