About Wyrley Ladies
Wednesday 3rd October 2007, 3:25PM BST.
We are the ladies first team of Wyrley Juniors based in Great Wyrley, we have been together as a team for 7 years and this is our 4th season as Wyrley’s first team.
There are 6 girls teams there and a reserve open age team which is in the staffs fa county league, div.1.
We also have a soccer school run on Saturday and Sunday mornings for the younger children run by qualified coaches.
We gained promotion last season from the staffs fa league into the west midlands regional women’s league and currently top it, we are a very young side but very talented and our aim is to progress through the leagues to the highest we are able.
We are very lucky to have been able to keep our players this season as Wolves and Villa have come in for them but they are very loyal and stayed, thankfully, with us.
Our home ground is Burntwood FC’s, Rugeley Road, Burntwood and we train at Cannock hockey and cricket club on Tuesday nights 7-8pm, we train with the reserves and our under 16s so that we can see who will be ready for the first team next season and all players can get to know each other.
We have a men’s side and 30 boys teams also and Wyrley is the official feeder club for Walsall FC.
