A giant woolly mammoth had visitors agog at Dudley’s annual rock and fossil festival which attracted thousands of visitors.
The colossal creature was on display in the town’s museum and art gallery which launched its Return of The Dinosaurs exhibition at the weekend to coincide with the festival.
Operations manager John Billingham said: “When people saw the woolly mammoth they were gobsmacked. Video journalist Victoria Hoe went along to have a look.

The Rock and fossil event apeared to be very interesting. I only wish I was not working on the weekend or I would have made a visit.

I was there for my work experience, was excellent. and I dressed up as the dinosaur, met the mayor and went up into the high street with Robin Hood.
