Club Name: Wolverhampton Rhinos
Aims and Objectives: To promote the sports of Wheelchair Rugby and Wheelchair Basketball to the community of Wolverhampton and the Black County to adults and children with a phyical disability.
Wolverhampton Rhinos Wheelchair Basketball Club: Wolverhampton Rhinos Wheelchair Basketball Club was set up in 1999 at Penn Hall Special School with a number of students.
The club then set its self a task of promoting the sport to the community and set up home in the newly buld St Peters School James Gordon Areana and until this day are still training and playing.
The club has moved up the national league list over the past eight years and how are in GBWBA National League Division One North.
We have been ranked in European lists as fifth, this season 2007/08 we are working to promote the game to Juniors aged 11 to 17 and to women and young grils to play in their own league.
The club has seven international players from Junior under 23 GB Mixed Team to Paralympic GB Basketball and Rugby Team and hopes to look to see a Wolverhampton Rhino in the 2008 and London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games
Wolverhampton Rhinos Wheelchair Rugby Club: Wolverhampton Rhinos Wheelchair Rugby Club was set up in 2005 with the aim of promoting wheelchair rugby to adults and children aged 16 years and over with a phyical disability of Tetra/Quadra-plegic or with a upper limb impairment, the club can boast a national league win in its first year and european championship status
