wd2243671.jpgThis is the first picture of retired teacher Leslie Ingram who died after being struck by a van yards from his home in Willenhall as he walked his dogs.

Father-of-two Mr Ingram, aged 57, was knocked down in Sneyd Lane, New Invention, on Monday morning, while exercising his three pets.

His grieving family this afternoon issued a statement about the retired science teacher as they released a picture of him.

In it they said: “He was a very happy-go-lucky man who would do anything for anyone. Leslie walked that same route every day. He was very proud of his two children and wife and was very much a family man.”

Anyone travelling along or walking in Sneyd Lane between 9.15-9.45am is being urged to contact police on 0845 113 5000.
