Daredevils set for skydive
Wednesday 13th June 2007, 11:35AM BST.
Three brave ladies will skydive 13,000 ft to earth as they embark on a fundraising mission for a Burntwood primary school.
Jacqui Southam, a governor; cook Jan Warren and parent Suzi Nock are all taking to the skies tomorrow (14) to raise cash for Fulfen Primary School.
The fundraising tandem skydive has been organised by the Fulfen Association, and sponsorship raised by the trio will benefit the school and Cancer Research.
The Skydive is taking place at Langar Airfield in Nottingham and the trio are hoping to raise in excess of £600 each.
The dive will involve the three women taking a flight up to 13,000 ft before falling back to earth, each attached to one of the British Army’s Parachute Regiment Freefall Team, known as the The Red Devils.
They will then experience 45 seconds of freefall, followed by a five-minute canopy ride back to earth. Anyone interested in sponsoring the brave trio is urged to contact Andrea Gibbons on 01543 671764.
