03_cent_red_web-jpgashx.jpgOne of two spectators killed in a  crash during the TT races on the Isle of Man has been named as Kidderminster security engineer Dean Adrian Jacob.

Mr Jacob, aged 33, from Tomkinson Drive, who was watching the race, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gregory John Kenzig, a 52-year-old retired engineer from Queensland, Australia, died after admission at Nobles hospital.

Marc Ramsbotham, the 34-year-old rider, and father-of-two, from Wymondham, Norfolk, who was racing in the TT trials, also died at the scene on Friday.

Two marshals, Hilary Beryl Musson, aged 60, and Janice Ann Phillips, aged 50, both from the Isle of Man, were also involved in the collision, north of Ramsay, during the mountain section of the race.

Today neighbours of Mr Jacob described him as “someone always ready to help others”.

Near neighbour Mrs Diane Conlon, who had known the family for several years, said: “He was a smashing man, really helpful. He didn’t have a bad bone in his body.

“He and his partner Michelle have lots of friends and he will be missed by everyone.

“We couldn’t believe what had happened. I think he had gone to the meeting with his parents and I understand his father was with him when he died.”

Motorcyclist Mr Ramsbotham had been racing for nearly 10 years as a semi-professional and in May produced a trophy-winning display at the Scarborough Festival of Speed. It was the first time he had competed in the famous TT trials.

Earlier this year Mr Ramsbotham said his main aim for the 2007 season was to compete in the Isle of Man TT Races for the first time.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is being held.
