The cellars have also been converted into games rooms. It was put on the market in 2005 and despite widespread interest, and 2,000 hits on estate agent Berriman Eaton’s website, failed to sell quickly.
Today agent Maddy Swann, who works at the Tettenhall branch, was celebrating after securing her first seven-figure sale. She said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have secured my first million pound completion and I’m looking forward to many more.”
Nick Berriman, for Berriman Eaton, said: “We are very pleased Maddy has settled the sale on such an important property. “It’s one of several high-profile properties we have on our books, and it’s great news that the deal has now been completed.
“As a company, we have agreed several sales worth more than £1 million since our merger last year, and this deal is an excellent achievement for Maddy of which she should be justifiably proud.”
