Two men, aged 17 and 19, were arrested.

Elsewhere, six people were arrested for attempting to get into the Hawthorns while drunk, and three people were ejected from the ground during the match.

Will Harper, spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “Fans were mostly well behaved. Police were reasonably pleased with the way the game went.”

Meanwhile, Albion’s Wembley hotline was today overloaded with calls.
