Wolves will rely on controversial phonelines to sell tickets if they reach the play-offs, but the club insisted there would be no repeat of the fiasco which marred January’s FA Cup clash with Albion.
Season ticket holders will be given priority and will be able to buy their tickets via the club website for a limited period.
More staff and longer opening hours will be laid on to prevent a repeat of the Albion debacle when fans endured three hour waits to get through to operators.

More staff and longer opening hours will be laid on to prevent a repeat of the Albion debacle when fans endured three hour waits to get through to operators.
Staff from a specialist ticket sales company will be drafted in to quadruple the number of people answering lines. Opening hours would also be extended from 9am-7pm to 8am-10pm from Tuesday to Friday to cope.
Spokeswoman Lorraine Hennessey said the club was not taking anything for granted, but added: “We are confident we’ve done everything we can to prepare.”
If Wolves make the play-offs, tickets will be on sale to season ticket holders via phone or the club website for people who have pre-registered until Tuesday. Remaining tickets will be available only on the phones and restricted to one per fan from Tuesday to Friday.
Tickets for the away legs will be available to supporters who have pre-ordered and then to those who have entered a ballot.
If Wolves qualify, tickets will be available to season ticket holders from 12 noon on Monday until 10pm on Tuesday. Other supporters will be able to buy tickets from Tuesday until Friday, depending on their loyalty points.
To book call the club on 0870 442 0123. For more details visit www.wolves.co.uk
Albion season ticket holders hoping to see the Baggies back in the Premiership next season have already booked and paid for their play-off tickets for the home leg, the club said today. Should the club fail to make the top six by the final whistle tomorrow, supporters will be refunded in full.

Phonelines and staffing levels are not the problem….Wolves had extra staff employed last time.
The problem is Wolves outsourcing to a private telephone company who then keep people in an artificial queue so they can make more money.
This was seen last time when the phone queue was 50 deep but you could ring the club general number and get straight through to the ticket office who answered immediately. Who monitors whether fans are being purposely ripped off?
