Thursday 22nd March 2007, 11:25AM GMT.

“I think part of the problem is the lack of policing in the villages, the fly tippers simply know that they stand very little chance of being caught in the act. I think we also need the environmental health people at the council to start examining some of the rubbish to see if they can get any clues as to who is carrying this out,” he continued.
“However, I would also ask the public to report any dumping that they see.”
Karen Sulway, environmental protection manager at the district council said officers already checked illegally dumped rubbish.
