Mr Hall, from Abingdon Road, Netherton has organised the sale to raise money for The White House Cancer Support in Ednam Road after the group helped him fight the disease.

The 68-year-old decided to hold the sale after recovering from cancer thanks to the help and support he received from members of the group.

He had to undergo weeks of painful chemotherapy and radiotherapy at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton but members made it a little more bearable by driving him there and back for each of his 33 appointments.

Now he hopes to raise thousands for charitable which relies solely on donations to keep going.

Pride of place at the sale will be a pigeon donated from the Queen’s own loft at Sandringham.

Mr Hall, who has now beaten the disease, said he could not have kept going without the charity’s support.

He said: “I was absolutely devastated when I found out I had cancer but thanks to all their wonderful support I was able to fight back and beat it.

“I wanted to do something to help and, because I’ve loved pigeons ever since I was young, this was the best way I could think of to raise some money for them.”
