Motorcyclist in crash death

A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a car at a busy Black Country roundabout.
The collision between the Suzuki motorbike and a Peugeot estate car happened yesterday at 5.10pm in Wolverhampton Street at the junction with Grange Road in Eve Hill, Dudley.
The 47-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital following the collision but was later pronounced dead. He is not being identified at this stage.
The driver of the car was 55-year-old Dudley man Abdul Khaliq. He was treated for shock after the accident.

The driver of the car was 55-year-old Dudley man Abdul Khaliq. He was treated for shock after the accident.Mr Khaliq’s grandson Reyhan Iqbar, aged 24, said: “There were two doctors in the car behind and they got out to help. It was chaos.”
Evie Atwell, manager of the Grange pub, in Wolverhampton Street, said the collision happened right outside the premises.
“We heard the commotion and people ran outside. There was a man trying to give CPR to the motorcyclist and paramedics arrived pretty quickly,” she said.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to call 0845 113 5000.
