George Guy, aged 23, of Wolverhampton, said: “It’s really good to get The Good the Bad and the Queen here.
“I’ve heard them already when they played live on the television and they sound really good. I thought they would play The Civic in Wolverhampton or something like that. It’s brilliant for Dudley.”
James Bennett, age 27 of Holly Hall said: “I wish more big bands came here. I’m really surprised they chose Dudley and they took the time out to come back.
“I’m a big fan. I just hope other bands see what they are doing and do the same.”
Dave Osborne, 25, of Burntwood, said: “It was fantastic, in fact it was the best thing I’ve ever seen live.
“It really blew me away. It’s got to be Damon’s best live performance.” Dan Murphy, 27, of Kings Norton, Birmingham, said: “I’m surprised they are here.
“They were good, really good. The album’s doing really well too, so people obviously like the sound.”
His brother Mark Murphy, 33, also of Kings Norton, said: “It think it was really impressive and I think we’ve heard some big hits tonight. It’s great to get someone like him here.
“Everything he does seems to work. This seems to be a maturer sound.” Gemma Bedworth, 25, of Netherton, said: “It’s very much a Damon project. I like it, but he always wants to come up with something new.
“He’s trying to move on and it was very good. I’ve also been to his bar in Reykjavik in Iceland, does that make me sound weird?”
Her sister Amy Bedworth said: “I liked Blur and this was good as well. I would say he’s in a league of his own. I don’t know him as well as my sister but it’s great to see him here in Dudley, not far from home.”
