House prices go up again

House prices in Stafford rose for the third consecutive month during November.

The rate of increase levelled slightly and market conditions remain strong according to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

One in four chartered surveyors in the region reported a rise in prices in November, compared with 47 per cent nationally. Only 14 per cent of surveyors reported a fall in prices, down from 29 per cent in the previous month.

One in four chartered surveyors in the region reported a rise in prices in November, compared with 47 per cent nationally. Only 14 per cent of surveyors reported a fall in prices, down from 29 per cent in the previous month.New buyer inquiries fell in the third quarter of the year, after rising during the spring and summer months and new instructions to sell rose slightly, for the first time in more than five months.

While surveyor confidence in the outlook for house prices in Stafford fell back slightly in November, confidence in sales rebounded sharply, rising well above the survey average.
