Man arrested by Suffolk police

police12.jpgA man was arrested today on suspicion of murdering five Ipswich prostitutes.

The 37-year-old was held at his home in Trimley, near Felixstowe, at 7.20am.

The man, named as Tom Stephens, is in custody at a police station in Suffolk to be questioned later today.

Detective Chief Superintendent Stewart Gull said: “He has been arrested on the suspicion of murdering all five women – Gemma Adams, Tania Nicol, Anneli Alderton, Paula Clennell and Annette Nicholls.”
