It’s party time for Jaxx fans

Basement Jaxx,Birmingham NIA
No-one throws a party quite like Basement Jaxx as proved when they hit Birmingham NIA last night.
It’s been a year and a new album on since electronic wizards Felix Burton and Simon Ratcliffe appeared in the city.
Accompanied by three trumpeters, a drummer, two guitarists, a bongo drummer and three amazing singers they started off with hits from newest offering Crazy Itch Radio.
Their performance of new song Take Me Back to Your House, with the iconic video of Russian Cosack dancers on the giant backdrop, set up the party mood for the rest of the night.
A superb acoustic version of the song Romeo from seminal album Rooty was another crowd pleaser, before the club anthem Where’s Your Head At.
Last night’s set was as colourful and dynamic as ever.
They also showed off their DJ skills to full effect with a remix of John Lennon’s Give Peace a Chance, and Justin Timberlake’s Like I Love You.
