Making friends through top gig

Wednesday 25th October 2006, 11:18AM BST.

The rock and roll supergroup is made up of Jack White, of the White Stripes, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawerence on bass guitar and drummer Patrick Keeler. White and Benson are the main singer/songwriters.

Hailing from Detroit in Michigan, last night was their first show in Wolverhampton and they left the crowd gagging for more.

They played the most of their latest album, Broken Boy Soldiers, including Steady As She Goes, but each with their own unique twist on the original version.

Jack White’s guitar skills mesmerised his loyal fans who loved every second of the show.

They performed two covers, Nancy Sinatra’s Bang Bang and Teenage Kicks by The Undertones as an encore.

They sealed the show with a fantastic rendition of their hit Blue Veins.
