Mum and children found dead
Thursday 5th October 2006, 3:55PM BST.
They attended the scene at the large mock-Tudor semi-detached property in Radnor Road at around 9.45pm last night.
Post mortems on the victims, a woman in her 20s and her sons, aged one and two-years-old, were due to take place this afternoon.
The house, surrounded by imposing iron railings, is understood to be divided into at least two flats.
It remained taped off for forensic examination this afternoon as officers investigating the deaths made house-to-house inquiries.
Detective Inspector Bob Bradford, of West Midlands Police, said that the bodies of the woman and her two children had been removed from the house. He added: “We cannot say how they died until the outcome of the post mortems.”
He said detectives were hoping to look at CCTV footage from the area as part of their investigation and confirmed that police were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths at this stage.
It is understood that the father of the children was taken away by police from the Edwardian property last night, although he has not been arrested. Residents said an Asian family of four lived at the address.
