Which does not surprise me with this weak, inept government, whose priorities seem elsewhere instead of attending to the welfare of this country!

A correspondent to this page once wrote that if all our MPs, lords and ladies lived on the council estates, this annual nuisance would have been curtailed years ago. I couldn’t agree more.

Is it any wonder people are leaving these shores in droves to get away from a country that offers little hope of a lasting and prosperous future?

We have all read in the history books about the rise and fall of various empires through the ages, well you are now experiencing the same with this once great country.

I’m really glad to say that as I am 78 I will not be around to see its final demise.
