Budding thespians needed

Monday 2nd October 2006, 6:38PM BST.

The newly-formed Dormston Mill Theatre Company is gearing up for a Christmas production of The Wizard of Oz.

The production will be staged at the Dormston Mill Theatre from December 12 to 16. But the group needs more adults to fill roles in the chorus and is also on the lookout for people to help out backstage.

The theatre group was set up by director Adam Towlson of Maximum Productions in a bid to get more people into the theatre.

He struck on the idea of staging the festive classic to attract more people to the Sedgley venue.

He said while auditions to recruit young actors had been successful, the group had a shortage of adults. Anyone who wants to audition should call 01902 603290.
