First glimpse of £5m superclub

The Express & Star has been given a tour around the impressive venue, which launches on Friday night with 10 stars of TV’s Hollyoaks as special guests.

With its seven rooms and numerous dance floors, clubbers are first welcomed into the First Port bar, which was formerly Heroes sports bar.

It boasts huge screens which will show Premiership games throughout the week and the weekend.

When that room fills up, the doors to the Aspen Ski Lodge will open.

This laidback room features wooden floors, bearskin seating and the head of a moose.

Upstairs on the second floor is the centrepiece of the club, the Ice House.

This huge room has a bright white dancefloor with cool seating around the edge.

There is a stage for live performances, a central DJ booth and two podiums for professional and amateur dancers.

If clubbers work up an appetite, there is the Sydney Harbourside cafe, an Australian-themed eaterie serving up continental meals through the night.

On the third floor is a VIP room, which is only accessible by swipe card and has its own waitress on hand as well as soft cream seating, Sky TV and a bird’s eye view into the Ice House.

oceana2.jpgThe Parisian Boudoir is likely to be popular with loved-up couples who can get cosy on the red velvet sofas and even close curtains around them for a bit of privacy.

Finally the New York disco is one of the most popular rooms with its mix of cheesy music and flashing dance floor.

Boss Chris Beasley said: “This is just what Wolverhampton has been waiting for.”
