The Wolverhampton Literature Festival returns for its fifth year with a line up of authors, poets, writers, storytellers, speakers and performers from across the Black Country and UK.

To ensure that all communities are able to take part in the festival, which runs from Friday, February 12 to Sunday, February 14, a limited number of discounted tickets are being made available for all events.

There is a 20 per cent discount on offer for all performers, writers, authors, poets and any local creatives on a first-come first-served basis, via a special promotional code to use at the checkout.

There is also a 30 per cent student discount available for all events on a first-come first-served basis.

Wolverhampton Council cabinet member for city economy, Councillor Stephen Simkins, said the festival was dedicated to ensuring culture thrives in the city, showcasing the best of what it can offer.

He said: "We want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to be involved in the festival and hope that these offers are appealing and are snapped up.

"All events have now been moved to an online platform so that audiences can enjoy the festival from the comfort and safety of their own home."

For anyone who qualifies for the student discount, apply the student number, place of study and course module, when purchasing tickets online.

For those in the creative industries who would like to receive the promotional code, register for the British Art Show 9 mailing list by emailing art.gallery@wolverhampton.gov.uk.
