The Light Cinema Walsall has announced its plans to reopen on Friday, May 21 and offer a big screen experience.

The cinema has spent much of the last year closed due to the coronavirus pandemic and will ensure all safety measures are taken including Test and Trace and gathering the contact details of all guests over the age of 16.

It will open with films such as Godzilla Vs Kong, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, Sound of Metal, Nomadland, plus a very special 40th anniversary showing of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Guests can also look forward to A Quiet Place Part II, Black Widow, Fast & Furious 9, The Suicide Squad, and No Time to Die, later this year.

CEO James Morris said: "We can’t wait to reopen and get back to offering the ultimate big screen experience in a safe and welcoming environment.

"A huge thank you to all our guests and team for their patience and support over the past year.

"We know you’ve all been so eager to return, and we can’t wait to finally welcome you back."
