Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Panto season is drawing to end – oh yes it is . . .
Friday 20th January 2012, 2:20PM GMT.
As Snow White and her Dwarfs get ready to go home, a new season is starting.
It started on December 10 and on Sunday it will finally reach the end of the road. Wolverhampton Grand Theatre’s pantomime, Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs, will play out its final appearances in coming days.
The production has won rave reviews from the Express & Star and Shropshire Star and features Linda Lusardi as The Wicked Queen, Sam Kane as The Prince, The Grumbleweeds as Muddles and Chambers and Niki Evans as The Fairy.
Theatre-goers from around the region have raved about the performance at online forums, with Leslie Mason, from Willenhall, writing: “This is a must not miss panto! Linda Lusardi and Sam Kane are fantastic .
“The comedy of The Grumbleweeds is first class, the 12 days of christmas at the end was hilarious. This is the best panto I have seen at The Grand for a long time.”
Sonia Dixon, from Wolverhampton, wrote: “Me and my granddaughter Brooke went to see the performance last night and we both enjoyed it very much.
“It was very funny and worth every penny. I would recommend it for all age groups.”
A third armchair pundit, Dave Micklewright, from Quarry Bank, added: “Absolutely brilliant. The Grumbleweeds were hilarious. Ozzy and Ali G in Snow White were really funny.
“A must-see panto. My eight-year-old daughter was jumping about in the aisle with the biggest grin on her face.”
The end of panto season means the return of drama for youngsters and music for people of all ages.
The Grand will welcome an easy-to-understand Shakespeare 4 Kidz production of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet on Tuesday.
The play tells the story of two teenage children who hail from families that are the best of enemies. During four hot summer days in Verona, they meet, fall in love and secretly marry, but their new found love turns tragic.
Meanwhile, reality TV star Gary Mullen will present One Night Of Queen on Wednesday.
Mullen won ITV’s Stars In Their Eyes during the Live Grand Final in 2000 with the largest number of votes ever recorded on the show.
The singer polled an astonishing 864,838 votes, which was more than twice that of the runner-up.
Soon after, Gary began touring on his own and in 2002 formed a band The Wor
ks, to pay tribute to Queen.
In the following 10 years, he has not looked back. Concerts have followed in the UK, USA, Europe, South Africa and New Zealand to huge audiences.
Gary Mullen and the Works have twice rocked the prestigious BBC Proms in the Park, in front of a very enthusiastic crowd of 40,000.
