Katherine Jenkins has admitted she gets lonely touring, and talks to her family whenever she can.
The 33-year-old Welsh beauty joined Raymond Blanc at Le Caprice in London to host an exclusive drinks reception to celebrate the launch of Martell Very Special Nights. She sang songs ranging from Somewhere Over The Rainbow to Parla Piu Piano, the theme from The Godfather.
Katherine revealed her key ingredient for a very special night was spending it with her loved ones.
"For me it's all about family and friends, I don't get to see them very often," she admitted. "So for me it's having my loved ones near me, a special play list of the old fashioned music and fabulous food and fabulous cocktails. But it's all about family for me."
The singer, who last week was in Abu Dhabi performing with Jose Carreras, revealed when she is away on tour she is always in touch with her family.
" I face time my mum when I'm in the dressing room, or my friends or my godson. That's my link to wherever I am and I can also share what I'm doing with them. So I can be 'Mum look, there's Jose Carreras in sound check!'"
Katherine also revealed she was flattered to be shortlisted for Sexiest Women in Wales 2013.
She giggled: "I'm not sure I've ever been in that before but it's very fun. I was really touched by that!"
