Ciara has revealed she is engaged to her rapper boyfriend Future.
The hip-hop singer, whose real name is Nayvadius D Wilburn, popped the question over the weekend as the Goodies songstress celebrated her 28th birthday in New York.
"The ring, which doubled as a special birthday gift, is a beautiful 15-carat emerald cut diamond designed by Avianne & Co," her publicist told E! News.
The couple, who began dating a year ago, confirmed their romance in January. The musicians got each other's initials tattooed on their ring fingers.
Future previously hinted that he was destined to marry Ciara, whose full name is Ciara Princess Harris.
The 29-year-old told Hot 97 radio host Angie Martinez: "I don't get into nothing to get out. We haven't set a date. This is The One. I said it before, I said it seven years ago, so for it to come around and happen, it was just meant to be."
Ciara, who has had chart success with 1, 2 Step, Oh and Love Sex And Magic, previously dated rapper Bow Wow.
She told Kris Jenner that it is important to balance romance with work, saying: "You have to make time, because that's where you find your sanity. If you just commit to work every day, every day, all day, you get so lost that you can lose yourself. Love is really important to me."
