The club guide with DJ Stuart Ojelay - March 1

Once again I was a little slow out the blocks this week, writes Stuart Ojelay, after my epic trip to Brazil – a round trip of Birmingham, Paris, Sao Paulo and Maringa.

With delays, lost luggage and sprinting for connections it can certainly take it's toll that's for sure!

I'm staying a little bit closer to home this weekend and so I'm ready for a severe lack of temperature as I'm off to Bern, Switzerland for Hed Kandi on Saturday night.

But with it being pay week there's an abundance of clubbing frivolity to get stuck into!

Wicked! are back at Piques in Cannock after their successful launch party. Bringing quality house music to the town will be Low Steppa, Neil Parkes, Sneaker Club and Jon Walker.

Fridays at the Posthouse in Stafford have an eclectic mix of music from Djs Rob C and Jungle Jay plus some great drinks offers.

Elevate in Burntwood have rounded up a great following. Taking place at 7's Nightclub this time around it's the turn of Ash Sheehan on Percussion who never fails to bring the house down. Supporting Djs include Rojer J, Paul Lawrence and Adam Warren.

Food, Fun & Frolics are in order at the Digbeth Dining Club re-launch at Spotlight from 5.30pm. Then you'll be served up some tasty grooves from Scott Bleepz and Dean Ferrino from 9pm till late.

Vanity in Tamworth present Marc Spence and Andy Sax tonight. A very talented duo that will duly keep you entertained all night for sure!

Ambush is brand new event launching at Seven in Coventry tonight, aiming to bring you 'The real sound of house' Pulling together the best local and UK talent around.

DJs this time include Andy Bell, Dave Thatcher and Chris K. Milkk have drafted in overall music boss Hanfry Martinez alongside S.ampel and Jon Brady. Set at Suki10c in Birmingham, this one's for lovers of the underground sound.

Everybody Loves hosts their first event of 2013 delighting, I'm sure, all garage heads. Set at The Rainbow, Digbeth this one is headlined by Mighty Moe with Alex Parkin, Kane, Clinton Shaw and Dr Love on deck duty.

Planet Dubstep is back at The Planet, Wolverhampton tonight for some speaker carnage. Fan's favourite of the genre Pogman headlines with Vibes, Chobba and Wilko in tow. Head in early for great admission and drinks prices.

Onto Saturdays antics now and Gatecrasher in Birmingham have brought in another huge name in electronic dance music right now, Nicky Romero. This monster line up also contains John Dahlback, Swanky Tunes, Mikael Wermeets and Kris Shaw.

Cream brings their 2013 tour to The Institute in Birmingham with DJS Tall Paul, Graeme Park, Brandon Block and George Kafetzis.

Fixxion in Wolverhampton has been hosting some great events lately and Code fits into this.

Electronic Youth take the headline spot whilst you can expect a full warehouse transformation with a funktion 1 sound system and state of the art lighting rig. Djs also include Tom Minton, Liam Broad and Tommy Vercetti.

Bringing more heat to Coventry is Jack Groove. More innovative bookings are in order as Flashmob from Defected records take main stage.

Taking place at the Rehab Warehouse with supporting DJs Jamie Ward, Callam Moultan and Craig Gordon. This one's looking more than lively so be sure to head down early.
