The attraction, off Valley Road, Hednesford, will be marking the anniversary of Germany's surrender in the Second World War early on Saturday, May 6.

Visitors will be invited to tuck into spam, eggs and corned beef hash and enjoy a host of 1940s entertainment. Museum visitors service officer, Rachel Gentle, said: "Everybody is encouraged and welcome to come in costume, all of the staff will be in costume. The Henderson big band will be performing, there will be craft activities for children and the One Accord choir will be there singing war songs, as well as 1940s singer Amanda Beaumont. There will be lots of people dressed as German, British and American soldiers, while we are also hoping to have some classic cars on display.

"Kate's Kitchen will be here selling wartime food like spam, eggs and corned beef hash and the museum will be serving black market cream teas."

The event will run from 11am until 4pm. VE Day officially falls on May 8.
