Spice Girl Mel C coming to Birmingham
Spice Girl Mel C is back on the road and will headline Birmingham's O2 Institute on Sunday.
The show follows the release of her seventh album, Version Of Me, that lays bare her life. The record has been described as Mel as fans have always known her – adventurous, honest, infectiously pop – but as they've never heard her before.
She's chuffed that Version of Me was well received.
"Coming off the back of the Spice Girls, I was super ambitious. You know, that's never really changed, I really do have high hopes. The first album was a big success. Like all artists I've had highs and lows. But it's nice to be here now with this album. We've had great reviews and it's looking good. It's the highest in the chart for over a decade. People are really connecting with this.
"I need to be passionate about my work. Right now it's all about this album and getting out and playing it."
