Fronted by the hilarious Agnes Brown, played by Brendan O'Carroll, this live show follows on from the successful BBC show 'Mrs Browns Boys' and more recently 'All Round To Mrs Browns'. Featuring all your favourite characters from the television show, the story focused around Agnes planning a funeral for Granddad however the slight problem was that he wasn't dead.

All of the familiar characters had their moments in the spotlight here from Rory and Dino's relationship troubles, Buster and Dermot getting into trouble, Maria being pregnant and Winni being generally confused. A special addition for this tour was dancer Tristan MacManus playing Elder Peach, following on from his pairing with Cathy Brown actress Jennifer Gibney in Strictly Come Dancing. However the shining light here was of course Mrs Brown, who was clearly in control of the performance and had the audience absolutely in the palm of her hand whilst also adding warmth to a performance that could perhaps get lost in the script.

Visually following the television show, the stage was set out like Mrs Browns house which allowed the story to move forward through characters entering and leaving the family environment. The ad lib and off the cuff nature of the performance also came across in the live environment, however at some points this felt forced and fake whilst still being mildly amusing.

An old fashioned and feel good show, it's no wonder that arena's have been made the suitable place for such a show to be highlighted, if not for the production value then for the quality and hilarity on show. Hilariously written and fast paced it's no wonder the success that the troupe is currently receiving. Mrs Browns Boys play at the Genting Arena until Sunday, so grab your mammy and get down.
