Staffordshire vineyard toasts hat-trick of medals in competition
A Staffordshire vineyard came away with a hat-trick of medals from the first Independent English Wine Awards.

There was a 20-strong judging panel for the national wine competition that took place in Bristol's Rummer Hotel. Wines from a total of 16 different grape varieties from all over the country were in competition.
Halfpenny Green Vineyards' dry white Tom Hill took a silver medal and there were bronzes for its white sparkling wine and another dry white, Mercia.
