An author is celebrating her tenth published novel.

Published

Kitty French, from Finchfield in Wolverhampton, who also writes under the name Kat French, has had her latest book, Mystery at Maplemead Castle, published.

The book, which Kitty describes as 'Scooby Doo for grown-ups' features Melody Bittersweet and The Girls Ghostbusting Agency. It is the second in the Chapelwick Mysteries series.

Kitty's best-selling Lucien Knight series topped the erotic chart and she also writes romantic comedy as Kat French for Harper Collins.

She said: "When I came up with the concept of Melody Bittersweet, and spoke to Bookoutur who decided to take a chance on the series, I was over the moon as this was an idea I'd had ticking away in the background that just wouldn't go away. Melody has been received into my readers' hearts so well and I'm asked for more of this series all the time. I love the paranormal genre and things like True Blood so I've always known I wanted to do it. When people ask what the book is like I tell them it's Scooby Doo for grown ups.

"It took me around three months to write Mystery at Maplemead Castle and I've loved writing it but I'm not sure how many more will be in the series."

Kitty lives with her husband, her two sons and her two cats. She previously worked in HR but now works as an author full-time.

She added: "I'm really lucky as writing is my full time job so it doesn't feel like work because I enjoy it so much." The book is available on Amazon.
