Around 70 students from M3 Studios, which has branches in Cannock, Rugeley, Stafford, Burntwood and Wolverhampton, have been treading the boards at the Prince of Wales theatre, performing hit-musical Oliver.

They have spent the past 16 weeks of perfecting their craft.

The theatre school has gone from strength to strength since opening in 2014, with 400 students attending classes. Principal Dominic Clarson said: "Students at the school are fantastic. It's a really happy place.

"We teach children aged three to 18 to be triple threats who excel in acting, singing and dancing.

"It's really like one big family, where students feel supported and encouraged.

"We take pride in the fact that we offer two productions per annum at the Prince of Wales theatre, among various other presentations/festivals throughout the year – we feel that performance is such a vital and positive part of a child's learning.

"We welcome anyone who wants to join, but we're really for encouraging people to take their dream further, some of our previous students are now auditioning for prestigious acting schools.

"We only employee teachers who have had real professional experience and we're looking to support the pupils however we can. But it's all about the drive – passion is half the battle."
