The actress appeared in the Dudley, Halesowen and Cannock Chase-filmed The Girl With All The Gifts last year alongside Oscar-nominee Glenn Close and Peaky Blinders star Paddy Considine. She now heads the cast in the National Theatre Live screening of Saint Joan, broadcast live from the Donmar Warehouse on Thursday.

George Bernard Shaw's classic play follows the life and trial of a young country girl who declares a bloody mission to drive the English from France. As one of the first Protestants and nationalists, she threatens the feudal society and the Catholic Church across Europe.

The National Theatre Live screening of Saint Joan will take place on Thursday at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £13, with a £10.50 concession price, from 01785 619080 or via www.stafford gatehousetheatre.co.uk
