Millennium Falcon models and action figures of Darth Vader, Han Solo, Princess Leia and other iconic characters were among the 41 lots from the famous franchise at Cuttlestone's on Clarence Street on Friday. There were no mega money lots, but a Hasbro Millennium Falcon fetched £200, twice its asking price.

Other lots that did well included a boxed Return of the Jedi Scout Walker toy, which sold for £90 – £50 more than its guide price – and a collection of figures including Chewbacca and the Emperor's Royal Guard, which scooped £100, four times what was expected.

There were 579 lots altogether in the auction, which featured a host of collectors items including musical instruments, toys, books and sporting memorabilia.

Ben Gamble, owner of Cuttlestone's in Wolverhampton and Penkridge, said: "We didn't have any of the 'star' lots, but everything from Star Wars sold.

"We had a lot of phone bidders and people on the internet. We had over 600 people registered."
