The Blockheads to play Bilston on 40th anniversary tour

Rock, punk and funk icons The Blockheads will perform in the Black Country later this year as part of the band's 40th anniversary tour.

The London-based group is best known for hits such as Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick; Reasons To Be Cheerful, Part 3; What A Waste and Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll.

Following the death of Ian Dury in 2000, the band is now largely fronted by Derek 'The Draw' Hussey.

The Blockheads will perform at the Robin 2 in Bilston on February 24.

They are set to be supported on the night by The Roz Bruce Infusion.

Tickets to the show cost £20 on the door or £18 in advance.

Doors open at 7.30pm.
