La La Land opens at Wolverhampton's Light House

Film fans will be able to catch two of this year's Golden Globe winners at a city cinema from today.

Musical La La Land, which stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, claimed a total of seven awards at this week's Golden Globe ceremony.

Now, the film will be screened at the Light House, based at the Chubb Buildings, Fryer Street, Wolverhampton.

The film tells the enchanting story of a pianist and an aspiring actress who meet and fall in love in Los Angeles.

Light House CEO Kelly Jeffs previewed the film at the Toronto Film Festival and has been encouraging customers not to miss 'the film of 2017'.

Film reviewer Darryl Griffiths, who also works at the Light House described the film as "An irresistible love letter to golden-age Hollywood and a cinematic experience to treasure."

Visitors can catch La La Land at the Light House twice each day, with additional matinee screenings on Saturday and midweek.
