Jasper Carrott, who has his own star, presented the Walk of Stars Awards with Birmingham Council leader, Councillor John Clancy.

Toyah, now 58, said: "I am thrilled to be receiving a star on the Birmingham Walk of Stars.

"Having spent my childhood and teenage years in this great city, I developed my love of music and theatre here, thanks to all the great music venues and theatres available within the one city."
