The 43-year-old from Wolverhampton took to Twitter after Saturday night's show to thank the audience for 'bearing with' the production's staff as security ejected the trouble makers.

In a short video post, she said: "On behalf of myself and the cast and the crew and the staff of the Bodyguard, I just wanted to say thank you so much to tonight's audience who just bore with us through a challenging second act.

"You guys were wonderful and you were so warm and appreciative at the end.

"We are just so grateful and I just wanted to say thank you."

Nobody from the Dominion Theatre, in Tottenham Court Road, was available for comment when contacted.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police, said: "We were called by security at around 9.30pm on Saturday night.

"We had a note to say those involved had been lawfully ejected by staff from the theatre. No arrests were made."

Since launching her singing career 20 years ago, Beverley has wowed audiences with her stage performances.

She has previously been nominated for best actress at the Olivier Awards.
