The Smiths' Johnny Marr talks about his life in Birmingham show tonight

From roaming the streets of Manchester to constantly pushing musical boundaries Johnny Marr's new autobiography, Set The Boy Free, tells the story of one the most influential guitarists and artists of all time.

The Smiths guitarist, who later carved out a successful solo career and has worked with the likes of Modest Mouse and The Cribs, will talk about the book at Birmingham's Town Hall tonight.

Fans can look forward to a true history of music told by one of its very own legends.

In a live interview Johnny will discuss his remarkable career, from the tumultuous years with The Smiths, to his later work with bands including The The, Electronic, Modest Mouse and The Cribs and his critically acclaimed work as a solo artist. Marr will be in conversation with John Robb.

Tickets entitle members of the audience to a copy of Johnny's book, which can be collected from at the event.
