Antony Christou's clubbing guide

Only three weekends left in 2016! There's been a lot to like this year and it's certainly not over yet, let's see what's in store for this weekend's ravers to enjoy.

We'll start off in Worcester where fresh brand D&BCiity are showcasing the subtle and intelligent side of drum and bass with A-list headliners Lenzman and Ivy Lab. This is their launch party and has a load of local talent on board to support. It's seen a lot of attention and they're on final release tickets now so act quick if you want to get involved.

Back in Birmingham, there's a Christmas party on the cards but don't expect the traditional tinsel and snowflakes because this is Ouse: A Very Twisted Christmas. Expect all of their mighty production values channelled into a carol-esque wonky winter wonderland, think Alice in Wonderland meets A Nightmare Before Christmas. As usual they've got underground music across the board with Disco, House, Techno, Drum and Bass and Jungle.

Elsewhere Blackdot brings Used and Abused to Birmingham. The brainchild of Loco Dice, this is the result of his 15 year journey through electronic dance music and sees him bring his expertise behind the turntables to The Rainbow Venues. Expect a headline set from the man himself and support from locals Sub-an, Adam Shelton and others.

Saturday sees a big one at The Hare & Hounds, LTJ Bukem is in the house with support from angelic vocalist Riya. Between them they'll be laying down some of the smoothest liquid funk sounds and demonstrating why Bukem is still in high demand after nearly 30 years in the game. Back at the Rainbow it's time for some UKG! 02:31 are unleashing the vibes with one of Birmingham's finest homegrown artists Preditah. After breaking into music with grime he's seen a slew of success through his UKG and bassy house endeavours. He's back in his home town alongside a massive lineup featuring legends Heartless Crew, Barely Legal, Lowsteppa and more.

QClub or Central Hall as it's now known has got a massive brand touching down as Cream arrive for their 25th Anniversary. Danny Bliss, Faithless and Danny Rampling will be delivering an absolute tonne of Club Classics, House, Tech House, Techno and Trance. Over at Amusement 13 expect a big contrast as they launch Emerge which celebrates underground house and techno with headliners Raffa FL, Montel and Tommy Vercetti leading proceedings with loads of local support.

My last choice is another dose of Drum and Bass but this time it's at the harder end of the spectrum. High Grade are unleashing their Christmas Party – Jungle Bells and they've pulled out all the stops. Nicky Blackmarket, Voltage, Total Recall, Dialogue, Filthy Habits. The list goes on. Expect a night long mash up of jungle and jump up Myyst.

That's all we can squeeze in this week, plenty to keep you going though. See you same time next week!
