The concert takes you through the whole Christmas adventure, beginning with the appearance of the Angel Gabriel, and ending with the journey of the three kings.
The music includes an excerpt from Handel's Messiah, Vivaldi Gloria in excelsis Deo and many well-known Christmas carols, with a few less familiar pieces thrown in for good measure.
These songs are interspersed with readings – some thoughtful, some riotous – given by the fabulous Kate and Stephen Alcock.
