Nick Browne, owner of Vintage Gamer shop, was approached by the team behind The Gadget Show.

They then spent over two hours filming him and around his shop, in Halesowen.

The Gadget Show, now in its 24th series, puts both old and new gadgets through their paces.

The team filmed Nick discussing what are potential gaming gems that could be hidden away in peoples lofts and all things Pokemon Go.

They also spoke on the advancement of gaming along with some of Nick's own tips and advice.

Nick said: "They got in touch with me because they were looking for a retro gaming auction house but there's none available anymore so they were directed to me.

"I didn't think anything of it but they must've took it seriously as they had a look at my website and Facebook, read about me and got in contact with me by asking when they could come and film.

"It was very surreal to have them come over and film but I think it'll be a little cringe to watch myself but it'll be great as I've never been on TV before."

The Vintage Gamer shop will be featured in the episode for around six minutes.

"The presenter, Jason, asked me what prized possessions I've got that's rare and expensive so I told him about a game I've got which is ridiculously rare. The game was originally for the Nintendo NES console and is called Duck Tales, based on the Disney film.

"There's only 150 numbered games in the world and 20 that aren't numbered as they were the first original batch.

"To find one is ridiculously hard but I've got three – one numbered game and two from the original batch.

"In five years time I might sell them but I'm on the hunt for more even even though the last one I bought cost me nearly £1,500."

Nick opened his first gaming shop in 2013 before moving to his current premises in 2014 which is home to an arcade studio where kids can play for free.

The Vintage Gamer shop will appear on The Gadget Show on December 21.
