It is planned for the Hilton Park Service Area on the M6 (southbound) on Junction 10a and 11.

It will replace the existing games centre at the service station and a proposal has been submitted to South Staffordshire Council by Moto.

Essington councillor David Clifft has no problem with the plans which would see the gambling machines in use 24 hours a day, everyday of the year apart from Christmas day.

He said: "I'd rather it be there than in the village - it's not likely to pull in people off the street with where it's located."

The planned games-room will be 54sq ft - more than double the size of the existing games centre - and feature all new slot and fruit gambling machines, which can payout thousands of pounds.
